Iris & Luis

Three words to describe Iris and Luis…Hot, Hot and Hot.

We had so much fun running around downtown taking photos on Saturday. It’s clear after spending just a few hours with these two that they are made for each other. They’ll be getting married in Cancun in August and I am so happy for them!  I know it will be amazing.

Amanda & Chris

Amanda and Chris are SO CUTE I can’t even handle it!! I’m going to be shooting their wedding in a few weeks, but they chose to do a “first look” session this past Sunday at the Rose Garden in Tyler. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect. I hadn’t done a shoot in the Rose Garden in forever so I was glad to be able to get back there again before I leave for Ireland (72 days! Ahh!).

These two were so nervous to see each other, it was so cute. Even I got a little misty when Chris saw Amanda in her dress for the first time. I love being able to be a part of moments like this. It is such a privilege. I especially love couples with a great story and Amanda and Chris have a great story. You should ask them about it sometime… it reminds me of a novel.

Monday Madness

Have you ever had one of those days where you wake up and go  about your day, but your filter stays at home in bed? That was my day today.

I used to be really good at saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. I blame my grandma, really. She has NO FILTER. She blames it on old age, but she’s been that way since I was little so we all know the truth. Thankfully, over the past few years I’ve gotten better about holding my tongue.

So, what’s the worst thing that can happen on a day that your filter stays home?

Nude Figure Drawing in my drawing class.  That’s right….

Don’t worry… I didn’t say anything horrible. I mostly just laughed and giggled a little too loudly as my friend David drew smiley faces, top hats, and mustaches on his rough sketches. It made an awkward situation a little less awkward and a lot more hilarious.

What’s worse than drawing a nude model while suffering from a case of the giggles? Having a nude model vent to you about their relationship problems with their long distance boyfriend.

What’s the most awkward way to end a drawing session with a nude model?
